How do you get the fisheye effect on iPhone?
There are two ways to apply the fisheye effect to your iPhone camera. One is downloading an app, and the other is attaching the lens.
The fisheye effect is a way to capture images which create the illusion of being in the middle of the scene. With an app, it's too easy to create this effect. With a lens attachment, it's possible to use manual settings for precision control.
I tried some fisheye apps, so, I prefer to use fisheye attachment lens in my shots. There's no big difference in price, if you buy a lens kit.

Is fish eye the same as wide-angle?
Posted by Andris Runde
Fisheye lenses are very specific forms of wide-angle lens which can distort the image. Fisheye lenses produce images with a circular distortion and have been popularized by photographers who want to capture a lot of the environment in their shots.
Fisheyes are perspective lenses which create images with a wider field of view. The curvature of the lens creates shifted, distorted lines that make straight shapes look curved.
Wide-angle lenses are typically used for landscape and architecture photography. They are equally adept at capturing a vast amount of space in a single image as well as close-up detail.

Should I buy a telephoto lens?
Posted by Andris Runde
Telephoto lenses are typically used in photography to bring a subject that's far away closer to the viewer.
These lenses are great for shooting portraits and landscapes as they have a wide aperture range, which means they can produce images with a shallow depth of field. They also produce less barrel distortion than other wide-angle lenses.
There are so many different kinds of photography to experiment with. You are going to need a macro lens for close up images, a wide angle lens for landscapes and nature shots, or a telephoto lens for zooming in on faraway objects.

What is the advantage of telephoto lense?

A telephoto lens provides the perfect solution for taking photos of subjects that are too far away. They allow you to get up close and personal, even when you can't get physically closer. In photography, they're often used to take portraits or capture sporting events from a distance.
By using a telephoto lens, a photographer is able to compress the depth of field and make the foreground and background elements appear much closer together. This effect can be achieved by zooming in on one specific area and allowing everything else in the frame to go out of focus.
In iPhone 11 I recommend ZOOM only till the 1X which is an actual hardware lens ZOOM.
In iPhone 12, 13 actual hardware lenses are stronger and you ZOOM up to 2x.
The iPhone 12 Pro Max will get you 2.5x closer to your subjects for more detail and up-close shots.
The iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 14 telephoto lens will get you 3x closer to your subjects.

Which lenses are the best for portraits for an iPhone?
One often asked question I get – which lens should I buy for portraits? Most popular focal lenses for standard cameras – 24 mm, 35 mm, 50 mm and 85 mm. My favorite is a 35 mm lens for a standard camera performance, so for mobile portrait photography I own mobile lenses: 37mm and 41 mm.
Some notes which I found out using popular lenses for standard cameras which will definitely help you understand what you will get using 37mm and 41 mm lenses for mobile photography. So, the 35 mm lens is my favorite focal lens for portrait shooting. It is a bit closer to what the human eye sees naturally. I like the aesthetics of the images with that portrait lens. Arguably it is closer than the 50 mm focal lens, but I find that this lens has most of all is versatility. This lens can get great wide angles, but also you can take a few steps forward and get really nice close-up images. The 50 mm is called standard lens, because it is the most natural looking focal lens. It has a low amount of perspective distortion. The 85 mm is the most zoomed lens and it is often called portrait lens, because it flattens the perspective of objects which results in more flattering images of people.
All focal lengths have very different characteristics. There are no rules on which mobile lens you should use in any portrait shooting. Photography is an art form. As a photographer you are communicating with your audience through the images you create. You have to be able to use your equipment in order to tell an idea or story with each photo you take.
37mm Professional Phone Camera Lens witn 3 filters for Portrait Photography;Rating: 4 points based on 210 ratings;
Price range: 20- 35$;
In box: 4 Point Star Filter; 6 Point Star Filter; 8 Point Star Filter; Lens Clip x 1.
a) all iPhones. Clip covers up the front microphone on iPhone
c) all iPad-s/Pro.
I like the fact that these are portraits and you get really nice long exposure shots.
On most types of smartphones the distance between its camera lens and its top is less than 1 inch. Polarization rate up to 99.9% and transmittance up to 99. Professional High Definition (PHD) Lens reduces glass flare and ghosting caused by reflections. Star filters are often used in dark environments with bright light sources. Bright environments may diminish star effect.they are great for photographing jewelry, crystals, candles or other lighting special effects (Create a Wonderful Dazzling Star Effect).
When shooting outdoors with this mounted on the single rear lens of my iPhone, this ND filter prevents over-exposure while providing depth and contrast to the scene. It also turns, so you can adjust it as well.

Which camera lenses are the best for iPhone?
Posted by Andris Runde
We all have different types of iPhones, and these lenses can make your photos look more interesting and professional. Of course, the new iPhone 14 comes with some serious photographic power and iPhone13 is not far behind, but they don't have a dedicated macro or fisheye lens.
Add-on lenses are an especially useful photography tool. They give your camera more ways to capture stories, which means you can take photos that your phone couldn't do on its own.
We decided to make this top based on number of sales in the biggest marketplaces in the USA which sell the most popular iPhone lenses:
1) Xenvo Pro Lens Kit only for iPhone 6 till iPhone 10(X) - 2 lenses;
Rating: 4 points based on 17 314 ratings;
Price range: 40 - 50$;
In box: Macro Lens, Wide Angle Lens 0.45x, Led Light, Cable, Case;
Compatible with iPhones models:
a) all iPhones till iPhones 10(X). It will partially block the flash on those phones.
b) iPhone 11, 12, 13, 14 models have a built-in ultra-wide camera, so wide-angle lens cannot be used with the ultra-wide camera. So, for lates iPhones 11, 12, 13, 14 you can use only Macro Lens or you can buy it separately.
c) all iPads Pro.
You have to make sure the lens is centered over the camera lens and it will give you perfect results. The Xenvo lens kit is compatible with the majority of phone cases available today.
The Xenvo lens kit offers an 0.45x wide angle lens to expand your field of view by 45% in every direction. The Xenvo lens kit also includes a macro lens for magnifying close-up subjects by 12.5x. If your goal is to zoom in on distant objects, then I would encourage you to look for a telephoto lens. The Macro lens is absolutely incredible. You can use the lens for selfies. The wide angle feature allows you to include more people in the frame when you're snapping a group photo.
The clip will not damage your screen. The Xenvo Pro Lens Kit's clip has rubber gripping pads that, in addition to protecting your phone's surface, prevent the lens from slipping off of the phone.
To obtain the best results, it is important that you place the macro lens and camera as close to your object as possible (about 1/2 to 1 inch). This will allow you to capture extra detail in a unique way. The macro lens is not for photographing distant objects and will not focus properly on objects that are more than a few inches from the camera. If for some reasons your macro photos are blurry, try moving the camera closer to your subject until it becomes sharper.
If you would like to use filters together with lens you should use the following size of the filters:
You can attach a filter to the front of the wide-angle lens. The correct filter size is 52mm; However, the added thickness of the filter's thread ring may end up causing very slight vignetting (dark corners) unless it is quite thin. If there is any vignetting, you can eliminate it by zooming in the tiniest bit on your phone, although this will slightly reduce your field-of-view.
If you want to use a filter on the front of the macro lens, the filter size is 39mm;
You could also add a filter between the macro lens and the lens clip, in which case the filter size should be 35mm.
Conclusion: for iPhone 11, 12, 13, 14 Xenvo Pro Lens Kit is useless. Macro Lens is better to buy separately.
